Ocean Trek weekend

OceanTrek

What a weekend !

The party theme this year was RUBICK'S CUBE!!

What a sight is everyone wering their six colours, before the frantic trading to get the pick of high fashion items in your color of choice.

The Trekers Log

We had a ball. Picked-up from wharf Friday night, and it started straight away.
Atmosphere was old friends re-grouping. Some went to bed Friday night others waited till Saturday morning. Diving mmm bumped into the bottom just couldn’t see it, poor Vis, cold water and my best buddy by my side (Nicole) some really good photos.
Soon off to Qld to live mmm warm water, good Vis just got’a get OT to visit us up there.
Thanks to ALL Adrian & Nicole Chilcott

Well Rubic cube nite what a night to remember never had so many people trying to take clothes off me before . Unfortunately there were just as many trying to dress me as well.  Fantastic night

Great to meet all the JBDC family on the Rubic cube weekend, can’t believe I ended up in the orange group.  Chilly water but lots of marine life, 5 dives fantastic! Must do w/e every year. Toddy

What a fantastic way to log dives 8-12 inclusive. Food was great (even Bob’s flat muffins) and the JBDC made me feel very welcome on their “ice-cube” weekend. Looking forward to catching up with some new friends for more dives in the near future. Special mention and thanks to Peter for buddy-ing up with the new guy.  John.

Well if you had hoped to come along for a boring weekend then this was not the one to be on. It started of as a cruisy Friday night, a short wait at husky wharf and then a quick ferry trip to Ocean Trek on the tender. Once onboard the introductions and greetings where everywhere. A late night was on schedule so at 1am and after much talk we were all off to bed. The diving was some of the great stuff you come to expect from JB. Visibility was a little short as above 20m depth the best visibility was around 5m. Drop down below 20m though and it quickly opened up to 10-15m. Diving was fun and if you enjoy being escorted by large Blue Grouper then you would have loved the dive off Point Perp as one of them took a liking to me nudging at me the whole dive. All in all a great weekend with the club and great to meet some more of the JBDC family. Thanks to all who attended and made this weekend what it was. Safe diving, Paul Daniels.

Killer weekend, the diving was great. Couldn’t have asked for a better group to spend a weekend on the bay with. Rubix night was a barrel of fun, a bucket of laughs and a little fruity just like it should be! Bitching good weekend, look forward to doing it again nxt year! Much luv, peace out James

This fab weekend confirms again that being picked up by JB Dive club years ago was a life changing experience. Thanks Lynn, Roscoe, Alana and Ian!!! And thanks to all on board for making a snorkeler feel so welcome.

It was dark and erie, cold and green and then we went diving. The evenings colours were bright vivid and plentiful, they moved and groove and ended up on one. We dive and eat and dived some more, wish the water was hot, but that couldn’t be so, not mater that’s diving and boats. Overall a great weekend and well done to Mick, Lyn and crew.
Lots of friends. Lots of food. Lots of sleep. Lots of wine. Lots of dives available. Lots of cold-showers and water. Lots of fun.
Lynn

The colour on Saturday night was very tropical. THE GROUP

Had a great time, thanks to everyone. Diving was great , love Alana and Ian.

Another fun weekend with the JBDC. Diving was ok, vis was less than exciting, but the fancy dress and partying was great. Unfortunately I do the rubik’s cube dressing up as badly as the rubik’s cube puzzle, but it was all good.

Thanks for everyone who helped with the chores, we’ll train yers yet! Look forward to everyone coming on again next year.

Well, a wonderful weekend - it reminded me how much I loved diving after a 2 year break…  Lots of cutie nudies, port jacksons and some morays.  Fabulous buddies meant nice relaxing dives, and a great clothes-swapping party on Sat night.  Diving was chilly but the hot water hose down my wetsuit was sweet J

Thanks for a great weekend all!  Helen.

Top weekend I got two dives in on Saturday morning. Water was cold I got seasick spent Saturday afternoon in bed. Woke up sick Sunday morning some went for dive I watched when they went on next dive we saw dolphins jumping and staying in front of the boat. Cool I did enjoy myself regardless of being sick. Thanks for looking after me it was great.

Thanks everyone for making this a great weekend! What a great mix of fun topside and underwater. Welcome to all the trekkie newbies - hope you had a great weekend. cheers Leander

PS. On the mooring Sunday afternoon when all had left, pulled apart the hot water system to find a RESET button. May have been in the instruction 5 odd years ago but who reads instructions…MEN …god we love them so much.
It was great to have the JBDC on board again, everyone was fantastic, all helping out when we needed it. The diving was not the best JB can offer ,but just getting togther and having blowing bubbles and socialising is what we are all about. It was also good to meet so many new members and for the “older” not necessarily by age, members to get to know them as well.
I have always said that the JBDC are a colourful lot and Saturday night proved this … just look at the photos ... Lyn
